We will meet at the Salem County Clerk Office in Salem and ride a total of 41 low traffic, flat roads in New Jersey with two opportunities to stop at Canton Country Store. We can do a quick bio break at 13 miles, order our lunch to be ready in another hour or so, then stop for lunch on our return at about 32 miles. Total miles about 41, with only 566‘ of climbing. This is a no drop ride.

The season is upon us!!!Join Paul and some of the the DVBC regs on a wed night NO DROP C+ ride. Expect some hills and maybe some fun sprints. Please be sure your bike is in good working order, don‘t forget your helmet and lights are highly suggested. Ride leaves off at 6PM promptly, trying to get as many miles in before dark. By popular demand the reprise of this infamous route created by the late Peter Odell. Points of interest include marshlands alive with mating horseshoe crabs, turtles and various species of birds. Hopefully the vicious green head flies won‘t be out. We‘ll visit the East Point Lighthouse and historic Mauricetown and lunch at Higbee‘s Cafe in Fortescue. Meet at Maurice Twsp Elem School Port Elizabeth NJ. School is on the left and a Wawa is about 1/2 mile past the school on the right.

Charlie will be subbing for Dirk. We will ride in mid-Delaware County, including the Swarthmore, Wallingford, Springfield, Ridley, Essington and Media areas on variable terrain, returning near sunset (approx 2 hrs). Mileage is planed to be around 20 but can be adjusted as desired by the group. Lights are recommended but not mandatory. No one will be dropped and we will regroup as needed. Morning Glory is a weekly C+ ride on Thursday mornings that starts at 930 and ends at noon. Rides vary from week to week but we typically aim to keep rides at 30 miles or less. Specific rides will be posted a week in advance. Most frequent starting point is Rose Tree Park but we vary starting points depending on the ride selected for each week, including some rides in South Jersey, Lancaster County, etc. Riders should bring a road/gravel/hybrid bike and spare tube.
