The unofficial start of summer is here and we will do our favorite ride from Rose Tree Park.
27 miles with some hills.
Meet at 320 Market in Swarthmore and ride our Delaware County local roads for about 2 hours, then head to the farmer‘s market in Swarthmore. Bring a bit of cash, and if you want to bring home purchases, bring a backpack.
Expect very few hills, easy pace, about 20 miles. This is a no drop, friendly ride. Don‘t forget Helmet and water bottle, wear bright clothes for visibility, lights are helpful too. Arrive about 15 minutes early so that you are ready to roll at 8:00 a.m.

We will start in Betzwood on the SRT and head to the Perkiomen Trail. We will ride 35 to 40 miles round trip. Since this is an out and back, riders can shorten the ride or add on at the end on the SRT. The trail is crushed stone with a few paved areas. There is one big hill. I highly recommend gravel or hybrid bikes for this one. Bring plenty of water and a snack. Food stop at Snoozy‘s Cafe in Schwenksville approx at mile 20-25. Co-leaders Nonna and Mary.
Always have a spare tire and tools on hand, but especially on a trail. This is a weekly ride through most of the year that often includes a leisurely lunch. Variety is the key here so be sure to read each description, starting point, time, etc as they do change. This ride is a social event, not a race. We enjoy cycling and each other. We will wait at turns if need be, but if you are out front, turns are your responsibility.
If you would like to join us, please pre-register and be sure that you have up to date emergency info on your signed waiver. We also recommend that you have emergency info on your person on the ride, lights, snacks and plenty of water. Helmets are required. Have a look at our safe riding guidelines found on our website if you haven‘t looked them over in awhile.

We will mostly be riding as a group, or at our own pace on select hills and regroup after those hills. We start at Springton Lake Middle School parking lot and leave promptly at 6 pm. Bring front and rear lights for safety as we‘ll be riding close to twilight. Looking forward to seeing you on a group ride in 2023!

A couple of bigger uphills and two good downhills as well.

Annual fundraising event from Ben Franklin Bridge to Atlantic City, NJ. If you would like to join other DVBC members on this fun ride with an important purpose, please join Team MidBike Crisis, our little, but, amazingly successful corps of cyclist. Each year we have been a top 15 finisher in fundraising. This isn‘t a race. It‘s wonderful ride with friends for a noble purpose.
