What is this?
We will start in Betzwood on the SRT and head to the Perkiomen Trail. We will ride 35 to 40 miles round trip. Since this is an out and back, riders can shorten the ride or add on at the end on the SRT. The trail is crushed stone with a few paved areas. There is one big hill. I highly recommend gravel or hybrid bikes for this one. Bring plenty of water and a snack. Food stop at Snoozy's Cafe in Schwenksville approx at mile 20-25. Co-leaders Nonna and Mary.
Always have a spare tire and tools on hand, but especially on a trail. This is a weekly ride through most of the year that often includes a leisurely lunch. Variety is the key here so be sure to read each description, starting point, time, etc as they do change. This ride is a social event, not a race. We enjoy cycling and each other. We will wait at turns if need be, but if you are out front, turns are your responsibility.
If you would like to join us, please pre-register and be sure that you have up to date emergency info on your signed waiver. We also recommend that you have emergency info on your person on the ride, lights, snacks and plenty of water. Helmets are required. Have a look at our safe riding guidelines found on our website if you haven't looked them over in awhile.
