What is this?
We will start in Quarryville at the trailhead and travel toward and along the Susquehenna. The trail is listed as 29 miles, with about 20 of it usable, giving us just under 40 miles round trip. It is crushed stone; I highly recommend gravel or hybrid bikes for this one. Quarryville is about an hour and 10 minutes away from the Media area, so plan accordingly. Bring Plenty of water and food - not much available out there. We will take a break at a suitable location along the trail. There are also porta-potties available here and there.
Always have a spare tire and tools on hand, but especially on a trail.
This is a weekly ride through most of the year that often includes a leisurely lunch. Variety is the key here so be sure to read each description, starting point, time, etc as they do change. This ride is a social event, not a race. We enjoy cycling and each other. We will wait at turns if need be, but if you are out front, turns are your responsibility.
If you would like to join us, please pre-register and be sure that you have up to date emergency info on your signed waiver. We also recommend that you have emergency info on your person on the ride, lights, snacks and plenty of water. Helmets are required. Have a look at our safe riding guidelines found on our website if you haven't looked them over in awhile.
